Site Manager Assistant for civil activities

Summary

 Odense Hospital Project Team Joint Venture I/S is a cooperation between CMB and ITINERA working together with the Region of Southern Denmark for the building of the new Odense University Hospital.

The new hospital consists of a total area of 250.000 sqm including 10.000 rooms and 21 km of corridors.

Once completed, the new OUH will be the largest recently built hospital in Denmark.

 

The Site Manager Assistant for civil activities supports the Site Manager responsible for civil construction activities in coordinating and overseeing construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards. This role involves a mix of administrative tasks and on-site supervision.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

- Support Site Manager: assist the Site Manager with daily operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and task coordination.

- Documentation: maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including daily logs, progress reports, and inspection reports.

- Safety Compliance: Assist in enforcing safety protocols and procedures on-site, conducting regular safety inspections, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

- Quality Assurance: Monitor construction activities to ensure they meet project specifications and quality standards. Report any deviations to the Site Manager.

- Communication: Serve as a point of contact between the Site Manager, subcontractors, suppliers, and site staff. Facilitate clear and effective communication.

- Problem Solving: Identify and report any issues or potential delays to the Site Manager, assisting in developing solutions.

- Material Management: Assist in managing inventory and ordering materials as needed. Ensure materials are delivered and used efficiently.

- Meeting Participation: Attend and contribute to site meetings, taking notes and following up on action items as directed by the Site Manager.

- Coordination: Help coordinate the activities of various subcontractors and ensure their tasks are aligned with the overall project schedule.

- Inspection and Reporting: Conduct routine inspections and generate reports on work progress, safety, and quality compliance.

 

Qualifications:

 - Education: High school diploma or equivalent. An associate’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

- Experience: at least 2 years of experience in a construction-related role, with some supervisory or assistant experience preferred.

 

Skills:

   - Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

  - Good communication and interpersonal skills

  - Basic understanding of construction methods and materials

  - Proficiency in MS Office Suite and basic knowledge of construction management software

  - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents

  - Problem-solving skills and attention to detail

 

Physical Requirements:

 - Ability to work on-site in varying weather conditions

- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the construction site for extended periods
