Odense Hospital Project Team Joint Venture I/S is a cooperation between CMB and Itinera working together with the Region of Southern Denmark for building the new OUH. The project is expected to be completed in November 2022 and will consist of a total area of 260.000 sqm, 700 somatic beds and 52 operating rooms.
Once completed, the new OUH will be the largest hospital in Denmark built from scratch.
Job description:
Responsible for the development and implementation of the construction plan. The position will report directly to the Construction Manager and Project Manager, ensuring that design, technical and quality standards are achieved safely, on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
Assisting in overseeing and direct construction projects from conception to completion
Assisting in reviewing the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
Oversee all onsite and offsite to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory
Meet contractual conditions of performance
Review the work progress on daily basis
Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses
Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
Ensure the quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

Ensure that the construction project is executed in the planned time-frame and budget
Timely reporting of the construction program progress to Joint Venture partners
Quality, Health, Safety & Environment – work duties in respect of all legislation, regulation, policy and procedures
Budgets – cooperate with the cost control office to respect the assigned budget
Contracts and Subcontracts – All obligations and responsibilities met
Stakeholders – Developing and maintaining a positive collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Experience/qualifications:
Fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken
Degree: qualified Engineer or Construction Manager with proved experience working in the construction industry; experience from a hospital project is a plus
Relevant experience within the property construction/building industry or similar is preferred, ideally from a strong joint venture reporting experience within a large commercial reporting environment and utilities
Working knowledge of contract language and legal requirements of contracts
Strong awareness and practical application of HSE in construction environments
Strong computer and reporting skills; proficient using MS Project, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Financial reporting experience.
